1.      In your opinion, what was the purpose of this blogging activity?

I think you chose blogging instead of normal writing so that we are able to interact or connect with people and know what’s right to post on a blogging program. I think it’s important to know what to write on the internet because you have to be able to know what to write and not to give personal information. Another idea I think you wanted us to write in the blogs is because we have to be able to understand or ignore peoples comment so that later on we will be okay and try to fix peoples comment and don’t be insulted by them.

2.      What have you accomplished during your blogging?

Throughout my blogging I’ve accomplished to learn more about movies and how to summarize them. I’ve accomplished to write longer papers than usual, I name the characters and at the end of the movie I write my likes and dislikes about the movie. Another thing I do is I gather all this different kinds of ideas and make it shorter be deleting sentences I don’t need.

3.      What key concepts have you learned while blogging?

Key concepts I’ve learned during blogging is brainstorming ideas on what to reflect the movie, I get all my dislikes and likes about a movie and put it into sentences. If you put too many ideas into one sentences it won’t make sense. Another key concept I’ve learned is how to use the edublogs website, I never knew how to upload writing to the internet only for the wikis. Something I always did before I posted a post I re read the post to make sure I didn’t have any mistakes and making sure it made sense.

4.      Based on the skills you learned while blogging, how will this benefit you in the future? This maybe inside or outside of school.

Blogging will benefit me in the future when I’m in college because sometimes before going into a college you have to write about your life; the blog is getting me used to writing about my likes. Blogs will help me by writing longer paragraphs, at the beginning of posting the maximum I could write was up to two hundred words. It will help me by writing different type of paragraph formats such as complex sentences and simple sentences.

The Simpsons

The Simpsons starts with Green Day playing in Springfield. The band had been playing for three and a half hours, Green Day asks the crowd about the environment. The crowd starts to moan and throw cans at them. Suddenly the pollution in the lake starts to dissolve the stage, sadly the band died.

The next day in church Grandpa had a message; it talked about things that were going to happen in the future. Homer rolled him up in the rug and left. They ignore the message grandpa was saying, but Marge thought it was important to know what he was trying to say.

Arriving back at home, Homer decided to fix the house, while fixing the roof Homer and Bart decide to play the dare game.

In the other hand Lisa decides to go to warn the people about Lake Springfield’s pollution, it doesn’t go as she imagined. Walking along the houses warning people Lisa meets an Irish kid named Collen, a kid that cares a lot about the world.

At the house Marge starts to evaluate the message that Grandpa was trying to say.

Homer dares Bart to skate naked to Krusty Burger, Bart decides not to. Homer starts calling Bart chicken, without thinking Bart skates naked to Krusty Burger. The police catch Bart and tie him up to a light pole. Many people stare at him and laugh of him. Hours later Homer arrives to pick him up, Bart asks if he brought him some cloths. Homer brought everything except pants; Ned gives Bart an extra pair of jeans. While eating at Krusty Burger Homer decides to take with a homeless pig.

Meanwhile Marge is asking grandpa what he was trying to say, Homer arrives home and shows Marge the pig. Marge has a feeling that the message warned them about having the pig, Marge insists not to keep the pig. Homer convinces her to keep it. Bart is feeling left out, Ned asks Bart if he wanted to go fishing with him, Bart accepts. Lisa falls in love with Collen, the Irish kid.

The next day Bart goes fishing with Ned, accidentally Bart looses grip of the fishing pole. Bart was getting ready to be strangled; Bart was surprised when Ned didn’t complain about it.

Lisa watches the lake becoming polluted more and more. Lisa meets everyone at the City Hall. She explains to everyone about pollution, the mayor decides to end pollution at Lake Springfield. The community starts cleaning the lake and adding barriers to stop people dumping things in the lake.

Marge asks Homer what is he doing with the pigs feces, Homer shows Marge a container with the pigs feces, she see’s that it was overflowing. Marge can’t escape the feeling that this was what grandpa was trying to warn them about. Marge tells him that he has to dispose it the correct way. Homer leaves to dispose the feces, he waits in line when his friend calls him that the donut store was giving free donuts and if he doesn’t hurry there’s not going to be enough. Homer ditches the line and speeds up the lake; he throws the container of feces in the lake. Suddenly he sees the lake getting contaminated, away.

Bart and Ned are hiking when they see this weird looking animal contaminated by the lake; E.P.A comes and takes the animal. E.P.A stands for “Environmental, Protection, and Agency”.

The head of the E.P.A goes to the president to decide one out of five things they could do to prevent these things happening, without reading them the president chooses number three.

Springfield is terrified when he sees Springfield getting trapped in a dome, Marge suddenly remembers that this was what grandpa warned them about.

The head of the E.P.A tells Springfield that Springfield is the most polluted town, the president decided to seal them in the dome. Lisa asks the guy that it couldn’t be polluted because everyone stopped dumping in the lake.

Marge stays outside sowing when she sees the Maggie was out of the dome, she hurries to tell Homer. When they go look outside she sees that Maggie wasn’t outside, Marge sadly goes back inside. Maggie jumps into the sink hole and goes out of the dome; she jumps back into another sink hole and ends up back inside the dome.

Later on that evening Homer and Marge watch the news, the news guy shows a clip of what made everyone end up in the dome. They show a picture of the container of the feces, in the container it said “Return to Homer Simpson (NO REWARD)”. Marge is furious that he didn’t listen to her after she warned her. Homer looks outside the window when he sees crowd of people coming to get him. The crowd says they just want Homer; they attempt to use the car. The crowd surrounds them; they go out the top window and jump inside the tree house. Marge thinks of something to do; Maggie tells Marge to jump into the sink hole but Marge thought she wanted to play. Maggie without thinking she jumps into the sink hole. Marge understands what she means so they all jump into the sink hole and escape the crowd and get out of the dome.

The E.P.A finds out that they had left the dome, they start looking for them.

Homer decides to run away to Alaska but first they have to buy a car. They go to this fair and Homer tries winning a truck by riding a motorcycle around a circle one time. He fails the three times and fortunately he makes it.

While at the dome electricity goes away except for Mr. Burns. People come to him to ask for some of his electricity but they weren’t able to have some electricity.

 The Simpsons arrived at Alaska; it was the same as he imagined it. While being at Alaska they couldn’t over see that they were planning to blow up Springfield and make it the new Grand Canyon. Marge and the kids tell Homer that they have to go back and save Springfield. Homer thinks it was the dumbest idea ever so he leaves for a walk. When Homer returned he saw that Marge and the kids had left. When Marge and the kids ride the train they didn’t think they were being heard by the government. When they arrived near Springfield they got caught by the government and get put inside the dome.

Homer gets lost in Alaska and gets founded by an Eskimo. She helps Homer until he gets an epiphany. While Homer had the epiphany he noticed he had to save Springfield. Finally Homer arrives at Springfield to save it. Homer climbs up the dome and while climbing down he accidentally knocked out the bomb making it less time to explode.

While Homer thinks about it, he has a great idea. He remembers driving the bike around the circle so he tries to attempt the same thing with Bart. Homer and Bart are all the way up in the dome; Bart throws the bomb up and successfully it explodes out of the dome. Homer becomes a big hero to the people in Springfield.

Fun with Dick & Jane

In this comedy starring Dick Harper “Jim Carey” starts of as him and his family having a good life. Dick is married to Jane Harper “Tea Leoni”, their son is called Billy. Dick is a good worker at his office and gets promoted to be the new VP of communications at Globodyne, he only doesn’t get promoted but he is told that he is going to a pear in a TV show, Moneylife. Dick appears in the show but couldn’t answer some questions; apparently Globodyne was running on financial dept and other problems. Dick hurried to Globodyne to see what’s going on with Globodyne. When Dick arrived, many people were burning documents and were leaving. Dick asked Mr. Mc Callister (Owner of Globodyne) what was going on, Mr. Mc Callister told Dick that he’s going to need to find a job because Globodyne was closing. When Dick arrives home he didn’t know a way to tell what happened; Jane told good news to Dick. Jane had quit her job. Jane was shocked when she heard had no job. Months went by, he wasn’t able to find a job. They were running out of money. One night Dick got a letter from the bank saying that they were going to take their family to the street if they don’t pay. Dick and Jane decided to go and steal money. They were able to steal money and pay for the electricity and etc. They got used to stealing money so much they did it every time not to be in the street. They started living a happy life. Dick was at a restaurant when he see’s Frank (An important worker at Globodyne). Frank helps Dick and Jane steal 400 million dollars from Mr. Mc Callister. Two days later they go to the bank to steal money from Mr. Mc Callister. Everything goes wrong, Mr. Mc Callister finds out. Dick tells him to give him a check, he gives Dick a check but Mr. Mc Callister says he’s going to cancel. Dick didn’t want the money; he only wanted the signature so that he could copy it. Days later Dick steals all the money from Mr. Mc Callister and shares it with all the employees. Dick decides not to steal after stealing from Mr. Mc Callister.

 

I really like this movie because it has a lot of comedy and funny actors. What I like too is that Dick gets into a lot of trouble; it’s so funny watching how he gets into trouble. For Example, when Dick was told by Blanca (they’re made) about a job. Dick goes, to the place and just see’s a bunch of people standing. A car passes by and tells them that he’s looking for a painter, only one will be able too. Dick runs and gets into the car but unfortunately he gets punched and falls. When Dick falls his wallet falls out of his pocket, Dick didn’t notice. He decided to play cards with some of the people waiting. When he was just about to leave the police come looking for papers. Dick couldn’t find his wallet so he got sent to jail thinking he was an illegal immigrant. This is why I like this movie, because Dick gets into trouble in funny ways. 

Hellboy 2

 

The movie starts with a flashback of Hellboy being a kid at the army, his care taker reads him a bed time story that happened many years ago at a time that man, beasts and magical beings lived together. After many wars they came to a deal. They split the crown into three pieces, one piece to all men and other two to the magical beings. All man would live in the cities and all magical livings would own the forests. Prince Nuada didn’t agree with the promises of men. It is said he went into exile into return the day his people needed him. The golden army got locked somewhere in Earth.

Prince Nuada decides to come to an auction were they sell a piece of the crown, he brings a friend of him, a big beast. The beast and him kill all the people with little magical beings that eat people.  That’s when Hellboy’s team come and help. Prince Nuada decides to go to the king (his father) to tell him to have a war with the humans; his father disagrees and wants him gone. Prince Nuada kills the king and takes a piece from the crown. Without completing the crown, he can’t command the Golden Army. With only having two pieces he goes to look for his sister.

One night Hellboy encounters prince Nuada, prince Nuada lets loose the last specie of that kind of beast. Hellboy has to choose if to kill the last kind of specie or to let it leave, Hellboy makes up his mind and shoots the beast.

Prince Nuada comes to were Hellboy and the others stay. The princess feels that he is in the building, she runs and hides the piece of the crown and burns the map to the Golden Army. Unluckily prince Nuada finds the map to the Golden Army and he got Hellboy stabbed by his sword but he wasn’t able to get the third piece.

Hellboy and his friends go to were the Golden Army is being hidden to get Hellboy back in good shape and to rescue the princess, in return they’ll have to give prince Nuada the third piece of the missing crown.

When they arrive at the place, Hellboy gets saved. Arriving to meet Prince Nuada Ibrahim gives him the last piece missing. Prince Nuada wakes up the Golden Army and commands them to kill them. Finally Hellboy kill prince Nuada, sadly by killing him her twin sister dies.

 

The Love Guru

In this comedy movie “The Love Guru”, starring Guru Pitka (Mike Myers) as an American boy that lived in a small village in India to become a Guru. As he became a Guru he left to the U.S to become a famous Guru. The only thing bothering Guru Pitka is that he isn’t the number one Guru in the world. Guru Pitka’s manager made a plan to make Guru Pitka number one. In order to become number one Guru Pitka has to make Darren Roanoke (Romany Malco) and Prudence (Meagan Good) back together before the Stanley Cup, then appear in Oprah. The reason that the Toronto Leafs needs Guru Pitka, because Darren can’t focus because he misses Prudence. Guru Pitka makes up a method to Darren and Prudence back together before the Stanly Cup, D.R.A.M.A. D.istraction, R.egression, A.djustment, M.aturity and A.ction. Guru Pitka teaches Daren D.R.A.M.A. After teaching Darren D.R.A.M.A, Guru Pitka is able to get Darren and Prudence back together in time before the Stanly Cup started. Unfortunately Guru Pitka wasn’t able to make it to Oprah.

My opinion on this movie Is I really like it because I like to watch movies that make me laugh or that are funny. Not just because of this, because there is a beginning which is mostly an introduction a middle which is the conflict between the characters and end, when all of the problems are resolved. I like movies that are like this because some movies don’t give you the ending so that they’re able to make another movie, when movies end like this I get anxious and can’t wait to watch the second movie. One thing that makes this movie funny is Mike Myers, he is a famous comedian. These are my opinions and likes about why I like about “The Love Guru”.

Twilight

Isabella moves in with her dad, to Forks, a little town in Washington.

 Isabella starts going to a new school named Forks High School. While at school, she meets her lab partner, a strange looking boy by the name of Edward Cullen.  

 She begins to see strange things about Edward, for example his eyes change colors; he pushed a car and appears to hear things from far away.

 Jacob her friend tells Isabella a legend saying that the Cullen’s family (composed of 7 people) were vampires. One night Edward told Isabella that he could read everyone’s mind except hers. For Edward meant that he was unable to get inside her thoughts and use them in his favor.

 Animal attacks started happening at Forks; people started to get scared and curious of what type of creature of making such horrendous attacks.  

 Isabella starts researching things that describe vampires or creatures. She relates the describing to Edward, they all matched.

 Days after she falls in love with Edward, he confesses the truth about his identity (a vampire).

 Edward decides to take Isabella to his house; the family was okay with Isabella knowing that they were vampires.

 One evening Edward decided to take Isabella to play baseball with his family, not knowing that a group of other vampires were crossing by. 

 When they approached the group, they immediately smelled the presence of a human (Isabella).  James (one of the other vampires), wanted Isabella; and he wouldn’t stop following her until he can get away with killing her.

Edward decides to leave town with Isabella. They get attacked by James, but together with Edward’s brothers they manage to kill James.

 Isabella gets a mysterious phone call of her mom, but then you hear James voice telling Isabella that if she left without Edward’s family to meet him, her mom wouldn’t get hurt. 

She meets James at this ballet place. She finds out it’s all a trap, James had played a video with her mom saying Isabella’s name. Edward finds out Isabella left, he runs to find were Isabella is until he defeats James.
